Can I order a sample?
Yes. We realise that choosing the right product is difficult without the benefit of seeing the finished product in person. In an effort to assist you in this endeavor we will ship one of each handle you like for you to inspect, up to a maximum of 5 handles. Please order your samples through this website as this is an expensive service for us to offer, and by you doing so you are helping us to continue offering this service at no additional cost. Are the samples free?
Almost: You can return your samples for a full refund (less our low shipping fees starting at £2.45 for 1 item) within 7 working days of receiving them.

Do I need to return the samples before placing my main order?
No. Simply go online and place your new order. The two orders will be processed independently and all you need todo is post your unwanted samples within 7 working days of receiving them for a credit. Samples are processed on an ad-hoc basis so it may be up to 28 days before we process your return and credit. Please use our returns request form to return any unwanted items.

How quickly will I receive my order?
Each item on this site has a delivery band shown next to the price (e.g. 
) estimating how fast the item will be delivered to you. Note: For standard delivery, items are shipped in one consignment so if your order has products with different delivery bands, the slowest band will apply for the entire order. If your pay for premium delivery we will ship items seperately to get your products to you ASAP. We advise that you do not book trades people until you have received and checked your order. Due to weight and value most orders will require a signature.

How can I return unwanted goods?
Returns (errors, damages or surplus goods) can ONLY be accepted with an authorisation code by visiting our returns request form. Please enter your details to authorise your return and automatically generate an address label and returns slip. Once a return has been processed any credits due will be applied, and any replacements due will be sent out.

Can you find a match for an existing handle I have?
Yes we are happy to help you here. First of all use the advance search to see if you can track down the handle on the website as this will be the fastest way. It's probably a good idea to order a sample to make sure you are happy with the match before buying more. If you don't find anything on the advaced search then please sent one of you handles (to this address) and will do our best to find a match for you, free of charge. Please include a self addressed jiffy bag/box with the appropriate postage if you want us to return your handle.

What should I do if an item arrives damaged?
Orders come very well packed, however in the unlikely event our support team will arrange for a collection or let you know how to send it back via Royal Mail. Either way, if you goods are damaged we will cover the cost of any additional carriage, including sending any replacements. Please complete a returns request form and we will call/email you to assist you and resolve your problem fast and efficiently.

Are the handles supplied with fixing screws?
Yes. All handles are supplied with 25mm fixing screws to accommodate door thicknesses up to 16mm. For thicker doors you can purchase standard M4 screw form your local hardware store or purchase them from our hardware section.

What quality can I expect?
Our range is of the highest quality we can source. We are so confident of the durability of our handles, we guarantee every one for life. Read our guarantee here. Some handles are tougher than others, like the solid steel bar handles, whilst others have naturally softer properties, like the solid pewter range.

Which handles go well together?
All handles made of the same material (e.g. pewter) will look good along side each other. Slight variations in finish do exist with most materials so, to make it easier, we have grouped perfectly-matched products within each section using a visible blue border. To be sure we always recommend ordering samples, as sometimes it's more a matter of personal taste than logic.

I've seen a handle somewhere else I like - can you supply this?
Often we can. We will search through our manufacturers database to try and locate it for you. If you do have something you want us to match to, please take a photo or sketch and attach it to an email and send it to us here. Please also state the quantity you require. Please note we cannot offer refunds for unwanted goods on special orders and sometimes there may be a minimum order quantity imposed by the manufacturer.

What tools do I need to fit my handles?
Usually just a drill, 4mm drill bit and cross-head screwdriver. The screws supplied (with every handle) are designed to be easily shortened by cutting down to length with pliers. In general though you will not need to do this as they fit the average door thickness (16mm).

Where can I find the handle dimensions?
Click on the image or the enlarge button to view further information. If you are retro-fitting your handles look for the hole centres measurements and this will be the distance between the centre of the two holes, and therefore the distance you are aiming to match to. For knobs, simply replace using the same hole.
