Some doors have slightly tighter latch mechanics, this means greater force is needed to open the latch. If the door is used daily by elderly people or small children a lever type would be more appropriate due to the grip levels being slightly less.
Be aware of where the knob is being situated, too close to the edge and you may scrape your knuckles on the edge of the door frame.
If this is a problem go for a lever style handle or a center door knob. Brass, copper and silver are great finishes which are extremely good at disinfecting themselves. Brass, Copper and silver do this due to the oligodynamic effect. Ions in the metal are poisonous to the germs we carry.
